Who we are

Gasovia (gasovia.com) is a free, independent project, built and maintained by a solo developer based in Portugal. For any privacy question, contact us at info@gasovia.com.

What we collect

• Location.With your browser's permission, we use your approximate location to center the map and find nearby fuel stations. Location is used to query station data and is not sold or shared with advertisers.
• Account data. Every visitor gets an anonymous identity (via Firebase Authentication) so preferences and a saved vehicle can persist without creating an account. If you choose to sign in with an email/password or a Google account, we store the email address and display name associated with that account.
• Preferences. Fuel-type filters, saved vehicle details, search radius, and other in-app settings you configure, linked to your (anonymous or signed-in) account so they persist between visits.
• Cookies. We set two first-party cookies: i18n-language (remembers your language) and geo-country (used to pick a sensible default map region). Neither is used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
• Analytics & error monitoring. We use Firebase Analytics to understand which features are used, and Sentry to capture crash reports and errors so we can fix bugs. These may include device/browser information but are not used to build an advertising profile.

How we use it

We use this data solely to operate Gasovia: showing fuel prices and stations near you, remembering your preferences, planning routes, and diagnosing bugs. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who processes it

We rely on infrastructure providers to run Gasovia: Google Firebase (authentication, analytics), Vercel (hosting), and Sentry (error monitoring). Each processes data on our behalf under its own data-processing terms.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA or another jurisdiction with equivalent protections, you can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how it's processed. Email info@gasovia.com and we'll respond as quickly as we can.

Children

Gasovia is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Gasovia evolves. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do. See also our Terms of Service.
